Ventilated Improved Pit Latrines

Construction of 9 latrines

  • 2 completed
  • 7 near completion (to be finished by community)

Chicken Coops

  • 10 Fully Completed

Other Completed Tasks:

  • Health Education Presentations for adults and children: Oral rehydration, hygeine, etc.
  • Organized and operated an open clinic for the community
    • ~200 patients were seen by the physicians
  • Distributed Mebendazole
    • >250 community members received meds
  • Other medications/supplements distributed
    • Iron, Folic Acid, HTN meds, antibiotics, multi-vitamins
  • Prescription eye glasses

Other Activities:

  • Daily lunch with families
  • Homestays
  • Playa Bayahibe
  • Community Rivers
  • Final night in Santo Domingo
